II. New Business
- Authorization to apply for ConnectME Grant for Broadband Installation
Jeff Burnham, of the Broadband Committee, gave a brief overview of the ConnectME grant for broadband infrastructure in Maine. The application is in response to the grant and has been prepared by Time Warner. Pretty Marsh has been identified as the largest area in town without land-based broadband service.
A brief discussion ensued. Selectman Richardson commented that even if Mount Desert isn’t approved for the grant, the Town should be prepared to pay for the installation. The Pretty Marsh section of town was the basis for the initial push in building the broadband infrastructure.
MOTION: Selectman Hart moved, seconded by Selectman Richardson, to authorize the application for the ConnectME Grant for Broadband Installation. The vote was in favor, 4-0.

III. Adjournment
MOTION: At 5:15 p.m., Selectman Dudman moved, seconded by Selectman Richardson, to adjourn the meeting. The vote was in favor, 4-0.
